A boil basically is an infection made up of cutaneous and subcutaneous that is formed due to a group of boils. Normally the cause of the boil is Staphylococcus Aureus. Carbuncles give rise to extreme pain, fever, prostration and leukocytosis. In simple words, it is a hard and a painful pus filled core. The causes of the boils on the thighs are due to allergy due to clothing, soap or even shampoo. It might also be due to chicken pox which is an infection in itself. Foliculitis is what is known as a thigh boil. Eczema is also another reason due to which boils occur on the thighs.
