To reduce menopausal symptoms, practice deep breathing and staying in a cool environment. This has been said to help by relieving half the symptoms.

Also skip added stress. Stop thinking along the negative lines that there’s an end to childbearing years and such matters. This is a renewal period. Rejoice in that and embrace change in your life wholeheartedly. Pamper yourself with nice bubble baths, leisurely strolls and hikes to local parks, good reading with good lighting and friendly visits and shared home-cooked meals with friends, family and other loved ones.

Menopause causes a woman’s body to slow estrogen. What you can do to boost estrogen is incorporate soy into your diet, and has sex more than twice a week.

Continue to strive to live longer, stay healthier with a good diet plan and be happier with yourself, your environment and your surroundings. Incorporate plenty of exercise into your daily plans, even just 20 minutes workout breaks, a quick swim or bike ride.

Studies show that exercise, like walking, actually increases the chemicals and your endorphins all of which combine to make you feel better, inside and out. Plus regular exercise can help improve mood swings and strengthen muscles and bones. And accompanying stretches help promote flexibility and mobility, keeping your body in top shape to avoid problems.

Note that women in their menopause stages are prime candidates for osteoporosis, mainly because their estrogen levels decrease. So seek estrogen therapy, if possible and desired.

And to get the most out your menopausal years, learn to relax your body and mind. You need to take time out for yourself and focus on good health.

Remind yourself – and those closest to you – that menopause is not a bad thing, but more a renewal time period. And strive to accept the changes in your life and to help others accept them, too. Everyone must move on in life. It’s how we accept the changes that makes a difference.

Accept change, and live healthier, happier longer lives on average. Change is a good thing. Change is your best friend. To live and grow is to change.
