Ultra-sonography is an ultra sound based imagery technique, which is used to visualize internal organs of the body. This technique will help to find structure and size of internal body muscles. The main aim of ultra-sonography is to assist in pathology and lesions procedures. Ultra-sonography is commonly used in pregnancy. A diagnosis therapeutic application is another application of sonography. On other hand, X-rays are just like radio-magnetic radiation. They can be used to produce energy particles, called photons. There are many process involve to produce X-rays such as bremsstrahlung and K-shell emission. These two processes can occur in heavy particles such as tungsten. These days x-rays are used in medical imaging to create three-dimensional pictures of the inner human body. Thus, x-ray and ultra-sonography is heavily used in medical diagnosis procedures.

Ultrasound means energy, which has frequency above 20-kilo hertz. This is a high frequency, which is beyond human hearing. In other words, ultrasound cannot be heard by human ears. Most of ultrasound scanners work on frequency, which is 2 to 18 mega hertz. This will give depth and sharpness to imagery.

X-ray and ultra-sonography is commonly used in diagnostic procedures to get internal human image. This technique is done by sonographers. X-rays is also used to get internal body images, but they are not as clear as Ultrasonographic images. Thus, it is clear that x-ray and ultra-sonography are interrelated but they have some differences.

There are some differences between X-ray and Ultra-sonography such as X-rays use electromagnetic waves, but Ultrasound use longitudinal mechanical waves. Transmission requirement of X-rays does not need any medium, but diagnostic ultrasound requires an elastic medium for transmission. X-rays requires an anode to accelerate electrons, but ultra-sound requires stressing medium to accelerate waves. The velocity of X-rays is constant and it can be 299,782.456.2 meter per second but the velocity of ultra-sound will depends on medium through which it transmitted. The types of waves require by X-rays is radio and light, but the ultrasound requires seismic and acoustic kind of waves. An Ultrasound can give deeper and sharper internal body images of human body, which is not possible in from X-rays.; this is an important difference between x-ray and ultra-sonography.
